Tier II Event Request

What are Tier II events?

Tier 2 Events (College Events/Sponsored Events): Any event planned by any part of the campus community that is essential to the function or operation of any department or student organization that is: 1) large in size (at least 100 attendees), 2) events in which the public are invited.  Examples include: Student socials, cultural nights, Beginning Teachers Support & Assessment (BTSA) program, Athletic team banquets/fundraisers.

Michael Caligaris (MFA Creative Writing, 2015) Wins the 38th New Millennium Award for Nonfiction

New Millennium Writings was founded by prizewinning journalist Don Williams in 1996.

The New Millenium (NMW) mission to promote vibrant imagery, word-craft and pure story-telling talent continues. NMW promotes new and emerging writers of fiction, poetry, and nonfiction by showcasing their works alongside profiles and interviews of famous writers, and through generous awards that have totaled more than $150,000.

The Prevalence of Sex Trafficking in the US: "In Plain Sight" Documentary, Tuesday, January 20th, 6pm Hagerty Lounge

Come hear true stories of hope and freedom related to Sex Trafficking in America which is much bigger than you realize! We view the film "In Plain Sight" a documentary telling the stories of women and children being exploited by this epidemic.

Monday Yoga for Faculty & Staff

We will be starting our Monday noontime faculty & staff yoga sessions for the Spring Semester on February 9, 2015. The first session will be free so that you can sample a class before making a commitment for the entire semester.

Our instructor is Dari Sylvia who has been with us for several years and leads a session appropriate for all levels.

A Stand & Prayer Against Terrorism: Wed., Jan 14, at Noon—Chapel Plaza

Noon on Wed, Jan 14, marks one week since the tragic and senseless shooting of innocent people in Paris.  We invite you to come together as a campus community to acknowledge this terrible event and pray for the end of terrorism and hate around the world.  We will begin in silence following the noon bells in front of the Chapel.  All are welcome.
