Theology and Science in Context: Seeing From Where We Stand

Sister Gloria L. Schaab, SSJ, Ph.D will be visiting campus on Thursday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the College Chapel.

Theology and science are often perceived as challenges to one another. However, what seems to be a challenge is actually an opportunity for both disciplines to explore their claims in new and surprising ways. Using theology and science as lenses or contexts for one another, Sister Gloria's presentation explores how the insights of each discipline can deepen one's understanding and appreciation of the mystery of God and the cosmos.

Summer Graduate Professional Advancement Series

Courses can be taken for Academic Credit or CEUs (Continuing Education Units):

The Continuing Education Unit is a nationally recognized unit designed to provide a record of an individual's continuing education accomplishments. For teachers, 10 hours of instruction equals one (1) Continuing Education Unit. For counselors, 10 hours of instuction equals 10 hours of continuing education for MFTs, LPCCs and LCSWs. CEUs are sometimes part of criteria used for promotion and salary increases in some school disticts. Continuing Education Credit is also required for license renewal for MFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs.
