Art Professor Peter Freund Exhibits in Iran

SMC Art Professor Peter Freund this week concludes a solo show of his video art, entitled IRAN USA, at the Sazmanab Center for Contemporary Art. The works in his exhibition explore the element of fantasy in historical memory, including the end of the McCarthy Red Scare period in the US, the US/British-orchestrated coup d'état of Iran, and the relationship between the two.

Legacy Garden Farmers Market on Wednesdays this fall

Get fresh fall produce from the Legacy Garden every Wednesday, Sept 2 through mid- October  11:00 -1:00.  The farmers market table will be set up  with the BBQ /fair locations.  When there is no BBQ, the table will be set up in it's usual place across from the Bookstore.  Thank you for supporting SMC's Legacy Garden.  100% of your donation for the produce goes to the garden.

Summer Graduate Professional Advancement Series

Courses can be taken for Academic Credit or CEUs (Continuing Education Units):

The Continuing Education Unit is a nationally recognized unit designed to provide a record of an individual's continuing education accomplishments. For teachers, 10 hours of instruction equals one (1) Continuing Education Unit. For counselors, 10 hours of instuction equals 10 hours of continuing education for MFTs, LPCCs and LCSWs. CEUs are sometimes part of criteria used for promotion and salary increases in some school disticts. Continuing Education Credit is also required for license renewal for MFTs, LPCCs, and LCSWs. (Saint Marty's College Graduate Counseling Program is a BBS pre-approved provider of CEUs, No. PCE #701.) Courses taken for CEU credit DO NOT carry academic credit.
