Connecting Students with Technology @ the Library

Did you know the library has a room equipped with a media control podium, a ceiling-mounted projector, a microphone, speakers, TV & a wall-mounted digital camera to record presentations?

Come back to the beginning!

In writing up a paragraph about the next Ask a Librarian workshop, I'm irresistibly reminded of Inigo Montoya in the Princess Bride when he was trying to find his focus and not be dragged off by brutes (all while being roaring drunk):

"You told me to go back to the beginning.  So I have.  This is where I am, and this is where I'll stay.  I will not be moved... this is where we got the job.  So it's the beginning, and I'm staying until Vizzini comes." **

Personal finance and investing workshop

Now it is a new year, with new hopes and resolutions before you. What better way to celebrate that than to focus on your personal finance and investment needs?  Not coincidentally, this month's Ask a Librarian workshop focuses on just that.  Sharon Radcliff, our business librarian, will educate you on the best library and web sources for personal finance and investment research and literacy. Participants may choose to be added to an online tutorial to continue learning after the session!  It is a unique opportunity that I hope that you will take the fullest advantage.
