Human Resources' Pilates for Spring 2015

Pilates is a terrific and gentle form of exercise that increases flexibility, strengthens all muscle groups and fosters proper body alignment.

Classes will take place on Wednesdays from 12 pm -1 pm. Please bring a yoga mat and exercise clothes. This class is provided through HR and does not require payment.

What are Tier II events?

Tier 2 Events (College Events/Sponsored Events): Any event planned by any part of the campus community that is essential to the function or operation of any department or student organization that is: 1) large in size (at least 100 attendees), 2) events in which the public are invited.  Examples include: Student socials, cultural nights, Beginning Teachers Support & Assessment (BTSA) program, Athletic team banquets/fundraisers.

Michael Caligaris (MFA Creative Writing, 2015) Wins the 38th New Millennium Award for Nonfiction

New Millennium Writings was founded by prizewinning journalist Don Williams in 1996.

The New Millenium (NMW) mission to promote vibrant imagery, word-craft and pure story-telling talent continues. NMW promotes new and emerging writers of fiction, poetry, and nonfiction by showcasing their works alongside profiles and interviews of famous writers, and through generous awards that have totaled more than $150,000.

Jeanne Foster Finalist

Jeanne Foster was selected a finalist in the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival's Poetry Contest 2015.  Judge Vijay Seshadri, Pulitzer Prize winner 2014, chose her manuscript "From Your Form Became My Own" as one of nine finalists.  As a finalist she is invited to participate in the Tennessee Williams Literary Festival held in New Orleans, March 25-29.
