Finding the Words

Brenda Hillman sees metaphors all around her. Like the time she was at Point Reyes feeling panicky about returning to teaching after a sabbatical, and she saw a heron go into a pond and snatch a frog.

Vice Provost for Enrollment Michael Beseda attributes part of the increase to strategic recruitment initiatives, including improved communications messages and materials, targeting and development of new recruitment territories and an online portal for every undergraduate prospective student.

This is the highest federal recognition a school can achieve for its commitment to service-learning and civic engagement. This is the fourth year in a row Saint Mary's College has earned the honor.
