Effective October 1, 2013, Tammy Soulsby will be the Interim Director of Admissions and Recruitment for Graduate Business Programs. Prior to this appointment, Soulsby was the associate director of recruitment for the School of Economics and Business Administration at Saint Mary's.

As the associate director of recruitment, Soulsby provided her leadership in advancing the department's recruitment and enrollment goals, and successfully hired two of graduate business’ most recent additions to the recruitment team – Aija Gamburg, assistant director of recruitment, and Patrick Daniel, recruitment manager. Her team, which also includes admissions assistant Libby Ha, will continue to meet the expectations of recruiting qualified candidates to the MBA and Masters degree programs who fit the Lasallian core principles and mission of Saint Mary’s College, while also encouraging prospective students to Think Globally. Lead Responsibly.

Soulsby has worked in higher education for over sixteen years. Prior to joining Saint Mary's in 2012 she worked for the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, her alma mater. She was nominated and selected as the Haas Outstanding Staff Award recipient for 2012.  Soulsby has also worked abroad for South Bank University of London’s Local Economic Policy Unit.

Soulsby has been instrumental in making continuous improvements to recruit top executive-level students in to the programs by revamping the online application, presenting at information sessions, and representing SEBA at corporate marketing events at local Bay Area companies such as Genentech, Chevron, PG&E and Cisco, in addition to recruiting at MBA tours and fairs held in San Francisco. Being an active member of the Graduate Admissions Management Council (GMAC) and Bay Area Graduate Admissions Professionals (BAGAP), Soulsby takes pride in networking with her fellow admissions and recruitment colleagues at other top business schools for sharing best-practices and has implemented effective processes into the graduate business admissions operations. Soulsby will continue to work with the Recruitment and Admissions team to increase enrollment and student quality in all six graduate business programs, which has thirteen different program starts per academic year.
