In an attempt to further their mission of “Think Globally, Lead Responsibly,” the School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA) has partnered with Target to conduct a one hour workshop titled “Values and Leadership in the Global Economy” scheduled to take place in the fall of 2013. Target has graciously provided a grant in support of the workshop and the students. Portions of the grant will be used to provide the first 100 students to register for the workshop with a copy of Kiss, Bow, or Shake Hands by Terri Morrison and Wayne A. Conaway.
Participants in the workshop will attend a presentation on leadership hosted by a Target representative, a discussion on ethics and global companies led by a member of the Saint Mary’s faculty, and take part in role-playing exercises that simulate real world situations.
This most recent grant by Target continues their legacy of supporting communities. Since 1946, Target has given 5% of its profit to local communities. Today more than 1,700 Target stores carry on this tradition of community service by making grants and providing volunteer hours. Target is proud to partner with Saint Mary’s to meet the needs of the community and challenge the young minds of those in attendance at the workshop.
