Blackboard is a Saint Mary's College official Web-based learning management system. Using Blackboard, faculty can provide students with course materials, discussion boards, virtual chat, online quizzes, an academic resource center, and much more. Instructors may supplement a traditional face-to-face class by putting important announcements, their syllabus, and handouts on their Blackboard course sites. Other courses may be conducted entirely through Blackboard, without any on-campus sessions.
