The Instructional Technology group works in support of teaching and learning at the College by:
- Maintaining Learning Management tools such as Blackboard and Moodle.
- Researching and recommending solutions for social software such as podcasting,
vodcasting, and other multimedia
- Supporting faculty, staff, and students in the use of classroom technology such as smartboards and clickers
- Conducting pilot programs for new technologies. 2008-2009 technology pilots include:
• e-Portfolios with Campus Pack, Word Press and Adobe Acrobat Pro 9
• Moodle, an open source learning management system
• Campus Pack, a series of social networking building blocks for Blackboard which include wikis, blogs and podcasting.
• Streaming video.

Library of Congress American Memory Project - American Memory provides free and open access through the Internet to written and spoken words, sound recordings, still and moving images, prints, maps, and sheet music that document the American experience. It is a digital record of American history and creativity. These materials, from the collections of the Library of Congress and other institutions, chronicle historical events, people, places, and ideas that continue to shape America, serving the public as a resource for education and lifelong learning.
New York Public Library - NYPL Digital Gallery provides access to over 600,000 images digitized from primary sources and printed rarities in the collections of The New York Public Library, including illuminated manuscripts, historical maps, vintage posters, rare prints and photographs, illustrated books, printed ephemera, and more.
Civil Rights Digital Library - The struggle for racial equality in the 1950s and 1960s is among the most far-reaching social movements in the nation's history, and it represents a crucial step in the evolution of American democracy. The Civil Rights Digital Library promotes an enhanced understanding of the Movement by helping users discover primary sources and other educational materials from libraries, archives, museums, public broadcasters, and others on a national scale. The CRDL features a collection of unedited news film from the WSB (Atlanta) and WALB (Albany, Ga.) television archives held by the Walter J. Brown Media Archives and Peabody Awards Collection at the University of Georgia Libraries. The CRDL provides educator resources and contextual materials, including Freedom on Film, relating instructive stories and discussion questions from the Civil Rights Movement in Georgia, and the New Georgia Encyclopedia, delivering engaging online articles and multimedia.
CRDL is a partnership among librarians, technologists, archivists, educators, scholars, academic publishers, and public broadcasters. The initiative receives support through a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
University of California College Prep courses - UCCP develops and distributes high-quality courses and course content to benefit California students, with a special emphasis on helping underserved students prepare for college eligibility.
Beginning this academic year (2007), UCCP will make its best course content freely available to California students and teachers. At the same time, UCCP is developing exciting new online content and courses from the various UC campuses, programs and resources for use online and in schools.
UCCP currently offers students, educators and schools access to its content through digital lessons, open courses, and licensed courses. Instructed courses will be available for the spring 2008 semester.

Virtual Jamestown - Jamestown and the Virginia Experiment
The Virtual Jamestown Archive is a digital research, teaching and learning project that explores the legacies of the Jamestown settlement and "the Virginia experiment." As a work in progress, Virtual Jamestown aims to shape the national dialogue on the occasion of the four hundred-year anniversary observance in 2007 of the founding of the Jamestown colony.
