Telephone Services supports and maintains approximately 2500 telephone lines for faculty, staff and students that supply voice connectivity to every campus office, both on the central campus and at off-campus Extended Education locations in San Jose, Fairfield, and Oakland, California. This service is provided by an NEC 2400IMX PBX with Centigram voicemail. With this service comes enhanced 911 capabilities, which allow location information to be sent to the Public Safety Office and simultaniously to the local Police Department. This safety feature will allow faster response time to emergencies.
