The Art of the Cross presents works by Marc Chagall, Georges Rouault, Bernard Buffet, Jacques Villon, Otto Dix, and Sadao Watanabe on loan from Christians in the Visual Arts (civa.org), and rarely seen works from the Saint Mary’s College collection by Tiepolo, Èmile Bernard, Jean Charlot, Salvador Dali, Lovis Corinth, and Eric Gill. Among the oldest objects on view are a fifth-century coin from Constantinople and an early fifteenth-century European woodcut.
