The Pivot Process

Four steps to avoiding or diffusing workplace conflict

1) Recognize that you have become triggered.

2) Ask yourself what this feeling reminds you of. This will allow you to more completely understand why you are feeling the way you are. 

3) Consider how you can expand your perspective--are there other elements that are contributing to this situation?

4) With a complete understanding of your emotional state, act towards collaborating and development by engaging with the other person.
