Student Leadership
Mission and Ministry Student Leaders foster the Catholic identity and Lasallian Mission of Saint Mary’s College, rooted in the five Lasallian Core Principles and manifested through six core areas.

Overview
These core areas are: Faith Formation, Lasallian Mission, Liturgy and Prayer, Justice and Education, Residential Ministry, and Retreats and Vocation. The members of FIAT - Faith In Action Team work with the professional staff to give bring life and full expression to the core principles through programs, presence and campus participation. Student voice, participation and leadership are necessary and integral aspects of the Mission and Ministry Center’s outreach to the Saint Mary’s College community. Student Leaders in the Mission and Ministry Center work with the MMC team on presence, programs and experiences that give spirit and voice to our Catholic Lasallian Mission. Student participation and leadership is a necessary and integral aspect of the continuing development of the Mission and Ministry Center at Saint Mary’s during the 2009-2010 academic year!

The mission is a support network of teachers, students, faculty, and staff worldwide that I am proud to be a part of where my service has taught me more than what I have given.

What the Mission means to me: The Lasallian mission is one that has become a huge part of my life in the last few years. To me it is about continuing the legacy that De La Salle started and making sure the ideals and virtues are always being held to the highest standards. Especially in the education field, I feel it is extremely important to serve communities in need and make significant connections with all. Attempting to transform lives and touch hearts is key.
