Interests

• Economics of Higher Education
  Higher education is coming more and more under the public eye: it is expected to increase the competitiveness of the economy; it is criticized for being too expensive and not well-matched to the needs of the country. My interest is in the business model of higher education - asking what can be learned by public and private non-profit institutions from the for-profit sector - and how the business model of the non-profit sector will need to change to more fully address the educational needs of an increasingly diverse and older population that needs to constantly "re-tool" knowledge to be successful in today's globally competitive world.
