It has been the practice of the College to provide graduates with access to campus facilities and grounds so that the graduates may celebrate their accomplishments with their families and friends.
It is the desire of the College that these graduation receptions reflect the College’s mission and familial nature. The receptions should be social gatherings that are both intimate and manageable.
Receptions - Post Commencement: You are free to arrange your reception as your family wishes, either through a potluck reception and/or through a catering company. If you arrange with a caterer who will also be providing tenting and/or canopies, please be sure that they follow the guidelines.
Size of Reception Groups: Groups are limited to 12 graduates and their families and friends. Each graduate must limit the invitations to these receptions to no more than 10 guests per graduate. Each designated reception site has an established maximum number of guests that can be accommodated in the space provided. Multiple parties are often assigned to the same reception site and the leaders of each party are responsible for coordinating how the site will be shared. Reception sites are selected through a lottery process. During the lottery process, reception sites will remain available until the designated capacity is reached.
