Application to Participate in Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony

If you plan to graduate, even if you do not plan to take part in the Commencement ceremony, you must complete the Application Form with the Registrar’s Office.

***Fill out an “Undergrad Commencement Form” on GaelXPress by March 1st. If you fail to file a completed form by March 1st, your name may not appear in the Commencement Program. ***

Participation in the Commencement ceremony does not guarantee graduation.  Graduation is not necessarily a requirement for participating in the Commencement ceremony.   Since only one Undergraduate Commencement ceremony is held each year, December candidates, or candidates who have no more than three courses left to complete, may participate in the May Undergraduate Commencement ceremony.  Please check with the Registrar’s office for your eligibility.

Graduation Fees

Each Graduate has already been assessed a graduation fee of $115 which covers your diploma, diploma cover, Baccalaureate Mass, Commencement Ceremony and your cap, tassel, gown and academic hood.  This fee was paid to the SMC Business Office.
