Dr. Keith E. Brant brings to Saint Mary’s 23 years of experience in higher education with a strong background in capital campaigns, donor stewardship and alumni relations. In his most recent position as Vice Chancellor for External Relations at the University of California at San Diego and as President of the UC San Diego Alumni Foundation, Dr. Brant ensured the successful completion of a $1 billion capital campaign.

From 1995 to 2006, Dr. Brant served as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Alumni Relations at UCLA and as Executive Director of the UCLA Alumni Association. He played a key role in planning and executing a 10-year, $3.1 billion campaign. In addition, as CEO for one of the nation’s largest and most demographically diverse alumni associations, Dr. Brant tripled the association’s assets over a 10-year period.

Dr. Brant received a doctorate and a master’s degree in higher education as well as a bachelor’s degree in film and television from UCLA. His publications include several books and articles for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) about alumni relations and student leadership training. He currently serves on the CASE Board of Trustees.
