Women, The Land and Environmental Justice
What: Join the Saint Mary's College community in welcoming Winona La Duke an internationally respected Native Amercian and environmental activist. She will lead a discussion of issues related to women and environmental justice from a Native Amercian perspective.
Who: Winona La Duke is the founding director of the White Earth Land Recovery Project, the co-chair of the Indigenous Women's Network, and the program director of Honor the Earth. A member of the Mississippi band of Anishinaable, she lives with her family on the White Earth Reservation in northern Minnesota.
When: Thursday, Nov. 13, 4 p.m.
