What: Core Values At Work: Developing Team Leadership In The 21st Century

Workshop description: Successful leadership is rarely the result of individuals working along but rather the result of teams working on behalf of the organization. High performing teams need to have an inward focus as well as an outward one. Participants will be introduced to a map of the leadership field, which locates various leadership theories and perspectives along a "continuum of complexity" encompassing a wide range of values. We pay particular attention to those value sets conducive to team leadership responsive to 21st Century challenges and opportunities, and how to apply them in the workplace.

Workshop Presenters: Doug Paxton was the founding program director of the Presidio World College MBA in Sustainable Management. He has worked in the public, nonprofit and private sectors, starting as an operations research manager for a New York stock brokerage firm before attending Yale University's School of Management for an MBA.
