SMC v. Sonoma State 10/18/14

The Lady Gaels played a tough battle against Sonoma State this weekend. Unfortunately, playing defense for the majority of the game, the Gaels lost the game 0-1. Sonoma State scored a lucky goal off of a corner and scored which was then a winning goal. 

SMC v. Chico State 10/04/14

The Lady Gaels made their way over to Chico State this past Saturday, October 4th bringing home their first loss of the season. SMC Women's Club Soccer was defeated 0-3 by Chico State. All three goals by Chico was scored in the first half of the game. The Lady Gaels came back in the second half of the game with amazing defense preventing their opponent from scoring anymore goals. Though they played great defensively, they were not given any opportunities to score a goal. SMC Women's Club Soccer will be playing a friendly scrimmage against Stanford this Saturday, October 11th at 11A on their home turf field. 

SMC v. San Jose State University 09/27/14

The Lady Gaels played San Jose State University on Saturday, September 27th in Moraga. With multiple opportunities to lead the game, the Gaels felt that the refs were not in their favor and came up short. The Lady Gaels and Spartans tied 1-1 with the only goal from SMC made by Courtney De Leon. 


SMC v. University of the Pacific 09/20/14

SMC Women's Club Soccer brings home another Win. Playing University of the Pacific in Stockton on Saturday, September 20th, Women's Club Soccer couldn't help but defeat the Lady Tigers 3-0. Goals were made by Daniela Aiello, Jackie Escobar, and Courtney De Leon. Come watch the Lady Gaels take on the ladies of San Jose State University on Saturday, September 28th at 11AM. 


SMC v. Dominican University 09/14/14

Women's Club Soccer is on a roll. This last Saturday, September 14th, the team brought back their second win this season from their first away game defeating Dominican 3-0. The first goal of the day was scored by Daniela Aiello and the final two, both scored by Jackie Escobar. It was an easy going game as SMC had possession of the ball for about 80% of the game and the game was not affected by any fouls or cards. 

SMC v. USF 09/06/14

On Saturday, September 6th our Lady Gaels played at home against USF and won the game 4-2. SMC had more possessions throughout the game compared to USF. USF had a penalty kick from a foul on Jackie Escobar in the second half. Even with a goal from the penalty kick, our Lady Gaels finished the game strong with a win!
