2021 River of Words Virtual Watershed Festival

Date & Time:
Saturday, April 17, 2021 - 11 a.m.
Location:
Online
Description:

As we continue to brave the global pandemic and keep each other safe, the Center of Environmental Literacy will be hosting our annual celebration of River of Words art and poetry winners online.

2020 marked River of Words twenty-five year anniversary since its founding in 1995 by writer and activist, Pamela Michael, and former Poet Laureate and SMC alumn, Robert Hass. Twenty-five years of empowering young people and supporting teachers who guide them in environmental literacy.

Thank you for joining us for our first ever virtual art & poetry festival. We will post videos and content from the event soon.

The event featured a combined reading and presentation of our 2020 and 2021 River of Words winners, a restrospective of 25 years of River of Words art and poetry, guest speakers, and interactive activities designed by teaching students at Saint Mary's College Justice, Community, and Leadership program!
