Spend 24 hours learning about human trafficking and poverty in the Bay Area and beyond. Students will learn from people who are fighting this issue locally and globally. Students will also engage in community service with a youth program as a part of this immersion. Food, transportation, lodging, & new perspectives will be provided.
Human trafficking (aka: modern day slavery) involves an act of recruiting, transporting, transfering, harbouring or receiving a person through a use of force, coercion or other means, for the purpose of exploiting them (United Nations).
