A Christmas Reflection
Dear Saint Mary's Community,
As we approach the feast of Christmas and the end of the calendar year, I would like to express my best wishes to the entire College community for a restful, relaxing and blessed holiday season. We have much to be thankful for in the fine work accomplished by many individuals and groups during the past semester. Various faculty committees and individuals have worked hard to meet our current challenges and to forge a creative and outstanding academic experience for our students. Our staff has been equally diligent, efficient and committed in providing many services to the College community and general public. Our students also deserve thanks for their efforts, in the academic, social, artistic, and athletic arenas. Their accomplishments make us all proud.
I would also like to single out the fine work accomplished by Provost Sally Stampp for the last eight years of service to the College as academic vice president and provost. She has displayed commitment and leadership to the College community during a challenging time. She has provided wisdom and advice to the cabinet as well as to a large number of faculty and staff who have been in her areas of responsibility. Please join me in thanking her as she embarks on a semester sabbatical.
Again, I thank you all for your commitment to the mission of Saint Mary's College and look forward to working with you all in what promises to be an exciting new year.
In St. La Salle,
Brother Ronald Gallagher, FSC
