ABC7 Gets Insight From Brother Charles Hilken On Vatican Climate Change Conference With Gov. Brown, Bay Area Mayors

ABC7/KGO-TV logoABC7/KGO-TV spoke with Brother Charles Hilken about Governor Jerry Brown's attendance at a Vatican summit on climate change and human trafficking. Hilken, who directs the Cummins Institute, commented on Pope Francis' efforts to reach out to politiicians across the globe to enlist their aid in addressing climate change, which he focused on in his recent encyclical ‘Laudato Si.’ The gathering “Modern Slavery and Climate Change: The Commitment of the Cities,” included about 60 mayors from around the nation, including San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo and San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee.
