Description:

The Bible & Its Interpretation (TRS 097 and 189) is a required course for all SMC students. Why is that? Is studying the Bible worth all of the time and effort it takes? Given that the Bible is such an ancient book--and so many at the College are not personally affiliated with Christianity--why do we even bother with the Bible? On November 15, four TRS professors who regularly teach the Bible course--Brother Mark McVann, Anne Carpenter, Joe Drexler-Dreis, and Michael Barram--will particpate in a panel discussion focused on such questions. TRS professor Jessica Coblentz will moderate the conversation, which will include ample time for questions from the audience and discussion with the panel. Please join us!
