Campus Renovations, Enhancements, and Current Projects

Saint Mary’s is engaged in a variety of ongoing projects designed to enhance the campus to serve our campus community better. The College’s senior leadership team has identified immediate needs for improvements to campus based on the requests of students, faculty, staff, and the community, along with identifying enhancements to further improve the safety of students and employees.

Recent work includes removing heavy tree coverage, adding new sidewalks, installing 19 new light poles, and landscaping the area along the sidewalks up to the Ageno Residence Halls. These improvements are the result of students expressing concerns at forums about darkness and accessibility and concerns raised at the annual safety walk.

Entry into the UCU Pavilion has also been renovated to improve ADA accessibility, add lighting, and create a turf lawn for better sustainability and campus events.

Future enhancements will include additional lighting improvements around campus, further sidewalk enhancements, and residence hall renovations.

Renovations have begun on Mitty Residence Hall, and demolition is in progress.  We are excited to modernize this residence hall on campus! Updates will include bathroom refreshes, new built-in cabinetry, new student lounges, and an improved heating and cooling system. At this time, the Aquinas parking lot is unavailable due to the renovations.

We are very excited to continue improving the infrastructure of the campus! While the construction projects and infrastructure enhancements may cause minor disruptions, the result will position Saint Mary’s to better deliver a transformative College experience.

Thank you for your continued support.
