Catholic Voters Courted on Campus
The influence of Catholic voters in the upcoming presidential election was the focus of a story in the Stanford Daily. A panel discussion at Stanford on Oct. 19, "Election 2004: Issues for Catholics," included Saint Mary's College philosophy professor Steven Cortright.
Cortright announced that he would not be voting for Sen. John Kerry.
"We have to cohere to a set of principles as a church even if the world doesn't," Cortright said.
