CBS-5/KPIX-TV Interviews Myrna Santiago About the Legacy of Cesar Chavez

Prof. Myrna Santiago in classroomKPIX-TV interviewed Saint Mary's history professor Myrna Santiago about the legacy of farm workers rights activist and labor organizer Cesar Chavez.  CBS-5 visited the SMC campus to speak to the professor of Latin American history about Chavez, as he is being recognized with a new movie about his life.

Santiago commented on the continued need for attention to the rights of farm workers and Chavez as an inspirational figure for the civil rights movement and for what can be accomplished through the power of organizing.  Watch the report.
