Other Activities
The Center also participates in activist causes that are consistent with its mission. Currently, we are working with others on the following:
Religion and K-12 Education:
The issue of equity in the representation of the world's religions in K-12 textbooks is important to promote understanding and cooperation among students of many faiths. The question the Center addresses in this work is: How can or should public schools teach about religion in a way that takes account of diverse religions, as well as secular viewpoints, in a respectful and fair way?
Religion and Prison Reform:
The Center advocates for reforms in law and public policy that would provide more equitable accommodation of diverse religions in prisons. This work supplements the Center's Prison Religion Project.
