Learn to Live and Lead in a Global Living and Learning Community

Become a Global Citizen and Go International...In the Residence Halls!  In partnership with The Office of Residential Experience, the Center for International Programs (CIP) have designated the International House in North Claeys Hall. 

 

So who is this community for?

I-House is a unique residence hall community located on the first floor of North Claey's Hall for both international and domestic students who strive to become global citizens. Our mission is to provide a living-learning community that fosters a friendly environment where cultural diversity and respect is encouraged and valued.

Students in the community will have regular events that will explore culture, the world, sustainability, international movies, cultural excursions and other activities! 

I-House members live to...

  • Eat & cook delicious foods from around the world
  • Watch international films, celebrate global holidays, discuss current events
  • Attend local cultural events in the Bay Area and on campus
  • Engage with the international community through service work

Who can apply?

  • All Sophmores (Prospective study abroad students and International Students)
  • All Juniors (International students and study abroad returnees) 
  • Any student who considers him/herself to be a global citizen (or strives to be one)

Requirements*:

  • Members will be required to attend at least 3 speaker series related to international topics
  • Members are invited to become members of the International Club, a fun opportunity to become a globally aware citizen
  • I-House is a student driven community. You will be an integral part of the brainstorming, planning, and delivery of events and activities!
