The health of the campus community is a top priority at Saint Mary’s College.

When assessing the health and safety conditions for existing and potential education abroad opportunities, Saint Mary’s College gives primary consideration to Travel Advisories issued by the U.S. Department of State. In addition, Saint Mary’s College may prohibit College-sponsored travel, or rescind prior approval of College-sponsored travel may be rescinded at any time if travel involves countries in which the following conditions exist:

  • Current health and safety conditions pose unusual or significant risks to students; or
  • The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) or the World Health Organization (WHO) issues a travel advisory; or
  • The U.S. Department of Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposes travel restrictions; or
  • The College's Travel Accident/Security Insurance policy excludes coverage; or
  • The College identifies other specific sources of evidence of potential risk to participants.
