Club Athletics Fields

Club Athletics has two excellent field spaces accessible to the Saint Mary's College community. Each field is available to reserve through our reservation process. 

Pat Vincent Memorial Field

 

Pat Vincent Memorial Field was dedicated in April of 1991 by the estate of renowned Rugby coach Patick Vincent, who coached from 1968-1983. The field has served as the main practice facility for the Saint Mary's College Men's Rugby Team since, and continue to contribute to the success of SMC Men's Rugby, SMC Women's Rugby, and other adult and youth rugby organization throughout Morage and the greater Contra Costa County area. 

 

SMC Recreation Turf Field

 

The SMC Recreation Turf Field, located just between University Credit Union Pavilion and the Saint Mary's Stadium, serves as a practice and competition site for the women's and men's club lacrosse programs and the women's and men's club soccer programs. It also serves as a practice and training facility for various club sport and intercollegiate sport programs.

Constructed in the summer of 2011, the Saint Mary's College Recreation Turf Field provides year-round field space for recreational, athletics, and club athletics programs at Saint Mary's College.

Designed by Verde Design, Inc. and installed by Carone & Company, Inc., the field features a state-of-the-art Mondo Sport Turf artificial surface that provides field use regardless of weather conditions. Construction workers broke ground on the renovation on June 6, 2011 finished two months later.

The lighted field it is also utilized extensively for outdoor campus recreation and intramural programs.
