College Launches New Bold Marketing Campaign

Branding Campaign Ad" Pre-Med and Pre-Law Without the Pre-TenseSaint Mary’s has launched a bold two-year marketing campaign that highlights SMC as a top-tier institution of higher education. This marketing campaign supports goal five of the strategic plan, which supports enrollment and fundraising. 

Digital and outdoor ads went live in December and January 2017. Additionally, the new television commercial first aired in February. This smart campaign establishes a strong emotional connection with the public while differentiating us from our competitors.

Outdoor ads focus primarily on the San Francisco Bay Area and will be displayed at BART stations and on trains, on main freeway billboards, at the Oakland airport, and on Contra Costa County buses. Digital advertising will expand our reach through social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter.

The campaign also uses search engine marketing and online advertising to potential students, and includes the development of a television spot.​

The Office of College Communications will be a campus resource to guide departments in making use of the new campaign and will be developing guidelines to share with the campus community over the next several weeks.

This is an exciting time for Saint Mary’s as we strive to raise awareness and be recognized as the leading Catholic institution of higher learning in the West.
