Colleges Seek Increase in Minorities

Saint Mary's College was mentioned in a story in the Contra Costa Times about how higher education officials are coping with minority recruitment since California voters decided to end race-based admissions in 1996.

While there has been a gradual decline in the proportion of black and Latino students at the University of California and the Cal State system, the article notes that Saint Mary's College posted increases in both groups this year.
