Graduating artists of the Saint Mary’s College MFA in Dance Program present Convergence, premiering thesis concerts at Le Fevre Theatre and The Museum of Art on the campus of Saint Mary’s College and a site-specific work at Montara State Beach.

Through a diverse array of dance voices, the Class of 2019 presents Convergence, a kaleidoscope of perspectives on the human condition: including trauma-healing processes, the interplay between internal and external expression, the embodiment of spiritual journeys, the rediscovery of our oceanic origins, and reintegrating our disparate cultural “selves.” Featuring choreography by Melisa Cervantes, Sonia Chapa, Katie Ginn, Grace Maxwell, Andrea Pardi, Taylor Santero, Alexandra Sheppard, Lisa Tenorio, and lighting and scenic design by John McAfee.

East and West. Structure and Flow. Shadow and Light.

This is where body and movement and space collide, yield and unite.

Witness Convergence.
