Interim Visitor & Guest Policy

Visiting Campus?

All visitors, guests, contractors, and vendors are asked to adhere to our Campus-Wide Health & Safety Protocol.

This interim policy is a mitigation strategy created to lessen the risk to employees and students of exposure to contagions, including COVID-19. Saint Mary’s College is following applicable CDC, state, and local county public health guidance.  This interim policy is in addition to the existing policies found in the Student Handbook (Visitation and Guests; and Residence Hall Visitor Policy and Guidelines for Residential Students both found under Residential Living Policies) and the Employee Handbook (Section 2.10 - Friends, Family and Children 14 and under in the workplace).  We appreciate everyone’s efforts to practice physical distancing and to support the health of our community members, including those who visit the Saint Mary’s campus.

Please see our Interim Visitor & Guest Policy Guiding Principles and Considerations.

Instructions for SMC employees and residential students:

If you plan to host a visitor/guest on the campus, please be sure to read the Interim Visitor & Guest Policy in advance of having your visitor/guest fill out this Wellness Pledge.  SMC employees and residential students are responsible for ensuring and demonstrating that they complete a daily health screening at or upon arrival.  You are also responsible for tracking the dates of visits.  If you have any questions about this policy or pledge, please contact Public Safety, or consult the Student Handbook or Employee Handbook.

*Residential students need to additionally review the "Residence Hall Visitor Policy for Residential Students" for further adherence to hall protocols.  This Visitor/Guest Wellness Pledge is in addition to what is required for visitation in the halls.  Please contact the Office of Residential Experience for questions:; (925) 631-4236.
