Confirmed COVID-19 Cases - Fall Term

This dashboard includes reported positive cases since August 19, 2020 among individuals who were present on-campus or at designated off-campus locations managed by Saint Mary’s College during the time they were contagious. This dashboard is updated on college business days by 2:00 p.m.

These numbers represent COVID-19 confirmed cases reported to the College. In cases where a student or employee fails to disclose to the College that they have tested positive, the College will have no way of knowing and communicating that information.

This graph shows the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported per day, in the past 14 days, among students, faculty, staff, contractors, and vendors who have spent time on campus or at a Saint Mary’s College off-campus facility during the time they were contagious. (Rheem Campus and Br. Urban Gregory (BUG) Parking Lot Pavilion are locations for SMC students who reside off-campus to study and access college resources.)

This table is designed to inform the community about the total number of COVID-19 cases reported during the Fall 2020 term, among its students, faculty, staff, contractors, and vendors who are on-campus or at a Saint Mary’s College off-campus facility. 

COVID-19 Case Reports

Below are the dates of positive COVID-19 case reports among its students, faculty, staff, contractors, and vendors who are on-campus or at a Saint Mary’s College off-campus facility. In partnership with Contra Costa County Health Services, the Saint Mary’s College Contact Tracing Team will perform contact tracing. The case report below will be updated with a notation once all close contacts from the on-campus community have been notified. Click here to learn more about SMC’s contact tracing program.

  • September 19, 2020 - Contact Tracing notifications complete

Confidentiality laws prohibit the College from disclosing protected health information about affected individuals. A campus resident who has tested positive will be isolated, and anyone believed to be at risk for exposure will also be contacted by Contra Costa County Health Services and asked to self-quarantine.
