Description:

In conjunction with the Museum of Art’s exhibition, three Bay Area Latinx poets share a spoken-word reading of selections from Anzaldúa’s Borderlands/ La Frontera.  In this seminal collection of poems and essays, Anzaldua draws on her life experiences as a Chicana and lesbian activist to challenge the notion of a “border” as a simple divide. Audiences will be able to flow through the galleries, enjoying Anzaldua’s potent words brought to life against a backdrop of art.

Featuring guest performers Leticia Hernández-Linares, MK Chavez, & Naomi Quiñonez
