Professional Overview
Dr. Jassi Kaur is the Professor/Adviser and Director of Health Sciences. She is a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist (RDN) and is an active member of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She had been a Consultant and a Professor for the last 20 + years and had earned her Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology. Jassi plans to provide valuable insight, vision, and experience in the expansion of the Department of Health Sciences. She is well-trained in Women’s negotiation, leadership and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She believes that everyone matters and their voice matters. Jassi is a first-generation to have earned a Doctorate in her extended family. She lives with husband, son and a maltipoo in the bay area. Jassi’s goal is to serve humanity through her students by supporting them and their goals. Students love her approach in teaching and advising and said that "she helped build students to be more prepared for their future goals.”
