Dana Herrera, Ph.D.

A faculty member in the anthropology department, Dana Herrera studies the impact of video gaming and virtual societies on the socialization, education and cultural development of young people.

Herrera teaches courses in cultural, biological, and linguistic anthropology, as well as Saint Mary's Collegiate Seminar "great books" classes. She has conducted research studies in the Philippines, United States, and Europe. Her current scholarly interests include tourism, pedagogy and technology, digital media, and the Filipino diaspora..
