Monica Fitzgerald, PhD

An associate professor in SMC's Justice, Community and Leadership department, Monica Fitzgerald can address news issues relating to U.S women's and gender history, politics, U.S. early American history, and the Puritans.

Monica FitzgeraldFitzgerald teaches courses on social justice, US history, and Gender Studies. Her research includes early American history, with a focus on the Puritans and gender, religion, and identity in early New England. She also studies second-wave feminism, women in politics, and the women's movement.
