Ronald Olowin, Ph.D.

A professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Olowin can address topics such as astronomy, technology, America's space program and the need for more U.S. students to major in science and math. 

Ronald Olowin Professor Olowin —affectionately referred to as "Dr. O" by students— oversees an intermediate-range telescope in a hilltop observatory at Saint Mary's.

A proponent of developing more American science majors, Olowin can address the need for more U.S. students to enroll in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) courses in high school and college.

A devout Catholic, Olowin can also speak to issues surrounding science and religion.
