Suzy Thomas, Ph.D.

A Professor in the Counseling Department in the Kalmanovitz School of Education, Suzy Thomas can address issues surrounding child abuse, suicide, non-suicidal self-injury, grief and loss, eating disorders, cyber bullying, and sexual orientation/gender identity.

KSOE Counseling Professor Suzy ThomasHer academic research interests include mentoring and professional development of counselors, child and adolescent developmental issues, LGBTQ youth, legal and ethical issues in counseling, collaborative action research as a tool for social justice, and school counseling reform.

Thomas can also address adult career concerns such as burnout, mentoring, and professional development issues across the lifespan of an individual's work experience.
