Fellows Program

Faculty Fellows serve as an internal team providing programs to meet institutional goals and the needs of all faculty

The model, promoted by professional organizations in higher education, emphasizes “peer support and conversations intended to help good teachers become even better.” SMC’s Faculty Development Fellows currently serve a wide variety of the faculty needs identified in our 2007 strategic planning effort, including:

  • Rebecca Proehl (Education)
  • Myrna Santiago (History)
  • Sally Stampp (Psychology)
  • Mary True (Psychology)

Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)

  • Anna Novakov (Art/Art History)

Faculty Technology Group (FTG)

Curriculum and Technology (incl. CaTS)

  • Ed Tywoniak (Communication)

Other resources available to all SMC faculty include:

  • Grants Development Office
  • Alumni Research grants
  • CILSA - Engaged pedagogy, faculty grants and workshops
  • Collegiate Seminar – mentoring, seminars and workshops
  • CaTS – instructional technology and instructional resources
  • College-wide, school and departmental initiatives supported by the Provost, VP for Academics, and school deans.
