Gaels Lead Tigers in Early in 19-3 Victory

2/2/13- On Saturday February 2, the Saint Mary's Men's Lacrosse faced off against the University of Pacific Tigers in their first game of the season. The Gaels got a lead early and did not look back. The game ended in a 19-3 victory for the Gaels.

The game was highlighted by stout defense and a potent offense from the Gaels along with solid play from both goalies Andrew Hax and Nicholas Oto. The defense was able to kill numerous penalties doing very well in man down scenarios.

The Gaels will look to build off their 19-3 victory this week during practice before travelling to play games against Cal State Fullerton and Concordia university this . The Nike/Inside Lacrosse coaches poll currently has Concordia ranked 8th in DII Men's Club Lacrosse and Cal State Fullerton ranked 15th. The Gaels are ranked 12th, so it is safe to say they will have their work cut out for them this week! The next home game for the Gaels is on Friday February 15th at 7:00 PM against the Gonzaga Bulldogs so come out and support your Men's Lacrosse team!
