Gaels set the record straight with a gritty performance against Santa Cruz winning 6-2

St. Mary’s would only score 6 total goals on the day, but a stingy defense held Santa Cruz to only 2 goals on 19 shots. Leading the way for the Gaels was Logan Magness with 3 goals, while teammate Daniel Podesta recorded 2 assists.

The win brings the Gaels record to 8-3, while they remain perfect in conference play at 4-0. U.C. Santa Cruz dropped to 3-8 overall and 2-1 in conference.

The Gaels will play a non-conference game this week at home against Pacific Lutheran from the PNCLL conference. The Lutes bring in a 2-3 record overall with an impressive 8-7 win over Gonzaga earlier in the season. The game is set to take place
