Account Strategist - Google
Professional MBA Program 2013
"As a participant in the Doing Business in China Trip, Summer 2012 I have benefited greatly both on a personal level, and professionally as well. When interviewing for my current position as an Account Strategist at Google, my multiple interviewers dwelled heavily on my experiences in Beijing and Shanghai. They were impressed not only on the rich culture that I was exposed to, but also the hands-on experience I was able to obtain. The in-class lectures at Peking University, mixed with company visits, and sightseeing molded a perfectly balanced trip that made me more aware of business differences and similarities between China and the United States.
Currently, my role requires me to speak with advertisers across the globe on how to properly manage their advertising accounts. Every time I come across an account who is tagerting China, I am able to use my first hand experiences to assist in optimizing their advertising in that region. All of the advertisers (most of which have never even been to China) are continuously grateful for my opinons and suggestions."

"My experience through the EMBA program at Saint Mary's provided me with the confidence to transition away from an existing managerial role into a leadership position with greater opportunities to control my future. Having received a non-business related undergraduate degree, I felt that the tools acquired during the EMBA program significantly enhanced my ability to more meaningfully connect and interact with prospective employers."

Executive MBA, 2012
"The technology and flexibility with a set cohort team at Saint Mary's has allowed me to maneuver and finish the Executive MBA program with limited disruption and travel. While attending the EMBA program, I applied for the position of President /CEO of AAA MountainWest. My Saint Mary’s EMBA was looked upon favorably by the AAA Board of Directors as was the case study and presentation scenario used during my interview process. The Board commented that my skills were substantially improved from when I had presented to them previously. I was offered and graciously accepted the position all due to the knowledge and skills acquired through the Saint Mary’s EMBA program."

Trans-Global Executive MBA, 2009
"The overseas module was the key differentiator that separated Saint Mary’s Trans-Global Executive MBA program from the rest. Studying about a region versus being in the actual setting are entirely two different things. It was a tremendous opportunity to learn through cultural immersion. In Brussels we were in European Commission’s Chambers speaking with European Ministers of Parliament. In Austria and Slovenia we interacted with corporate executives of leading edge companies. Experiential learning though acculturation supersedes any book or website. Clearly, the successful 21st Century executives will be those that have first-hand experience with the people and culture of the region in which they do business."

"When I finished my undergrad work, I never planned on going back to school. After working in corporate America, I realized I had gaps in my development and the Saint Mary's Executive MBA was the perfect fit to fill those gaps. After going through the program, I gained the ability to do much more. I've now started working on my own company and I owe a lot to Saint Mary's."

“One of the primary reasons I decided to pursue the MS-FAIM degree was to better prepare me for the grueling 3-level CFA exam. The program did a fantastic job of "preparing me to prepare", as I like to say, and I felt far more prepped than the vast majority of CFA candidates I came into contact with as I was studying for the 3 exams. With the foundation of the MS-FAIM program beneath me and plenty of time spent studying on my own I was able to pass all 3 levels of the exam on my first try and am now a CFA charter holder. "
