Applicants interested in pursuing an Incoming Student Scholarship should submit their application materials by the priority deadline.

Admissions Criteria

Undergraduate Degree: All applicants to the Master of Arts Program in Kinesiology must have an earned Bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall grade point average of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.

GPA Exemption Petition: If your cumulative undergraduate GPA is below 2.8, you are still welcome to apply but you are required to submit a petition for an exemption from the minimum GPA requirement. The GPA Exemption Petition is your opportunity to share relevant information about past academic or personal circumstances to provide context for your past academic performance, and to share evidence of your ability to succeed in an academically rigorous graduate program.

Kinesiology Major and/or Work Experience: An undergraduate major or at least one year of work experience in Kinesiology or a related field are preferred but not required. Prospective students with a degree in an unrelated area or with limited or no related work experience are welcome to apply.

  2. Transcripts: Please submit a transcript from the college or university where you earned your bachelor’s degree, plus transcripts from any other graduate-level coursework completed.
