Hiring for Mission Workshop
The first “Hiring for Mission” workshop was held on November 8. Sponsored by Human Resources and the Office of Mission, this workshop was designed for hiring managers, search committee chairs and members.
Highlights included a mission presentation, distribution of a new Hiring for Mission Participant Guidebook, two persuasive role play exercises —one depicting a staff interview and the other illustrating the formation of a search committee as it prepared to discuss mission and core values with candidates.
The planning team and presenters included: Eduardo Salaz, Sunny Bradford, Jamila Buckner, Carole Swain, Ed Tywoniak, Frank Murray, Raina Leon, Monica Fitzgerald and Tomas Gomez. A second workshop will be offered in the spring.
